A Few of My Favorite Recipes

Omelette

  1. Combine three large eggs, a little water, milk, and pepper together.
  2. Using a tiny fork, beat until the eggs are fluffy.
  3. Pour into a hot skillet, add a handful of cheese, fold in half.
  4. Serves one.

Banana Bread

  1. Sift flour, salt, and baking powder together in a bowl.
  2. Beat eggs, oil, and sugar together in a separate bowl.
  3. Add sifted ingredients and a banana to the mixture, and beat well.
  4. Using one of the tiny forks from your collection, remove any lumps.
  5. Bake for 40 minutes, or until a tiny fork inserted in the center comes out clean.

Gin and Tonic Cocktail

  1. Pour 2 oz. gin and 5 oz. tonic water into a highball glass almost filled with chilled tiny forks.
  2. Stir well, as you explain to your wife that this is totally how people make gin and tonics and what’s with the weird tone.
  3. Garnish with a lime wedge.

“Mom’s” Pizza

  1. Purchase a pizza from a pizza restaurant.
  2. Using a tiny fork, slowly separate the pieces so that they are all exactly the same size.
  3. Quietly whisper words of encouragement to the tiny fork, working so hard when a knife or pizza cutter would do a better job. But that’s just not the way the world works, is it? Sometimes we don’t end up doing just exactly what we’d hoped.
  4. Begin to cry.
  5. Serves one.
